Italian guy selling leather jackets for free
Fake italian guy with a creepy smile drives around in a SUV asking for pity and scamming

2012.2.1 Wednesday

This same guy has not been caught.
Caucasian. Looks to be in his 30s. Blondish/Brownish hair. Blue eyes.
Creepy smile.
Drives around 21st Street and 5th avenue or to 26th street and 5th avenue in a Dark Navy SUV and suddenly pulled up to me to start this scam.

Ask me where the airport is, tell me that he is a fashion designer and wants to give away his clothes so that he doesn't get taxed on them. He tells me to feel 3 of them, which he claims are $1,000 each.

Seemed too good to be true. Then he asked me if I have a girlfriend, and that he can give me this dress, and all the jackets for free, at $300.

It seemed fishy so I said I have no money and he said "Well, okay" and drove away very quickly.

Very surprised to see this going on back 2009 in New York too?
People need to know about this scam. He seems to like the Flat-iron area.
