I have been wanting to model my whole life, and I got an email back from OST to come into for an interview, she gave me 3 choices of dates, I picked a saturday at 3:30 bacause my drive to NYC is a 3 1/2 Hour drive. I got there & there's a room of about 40-50 people that looked nothing like model material, not to be mean. But I was alittle nervous if this was a ligidament thing, but i kept thinking to myself it has to be, especially when a young women came in and told us a few success stories.
Well after that they called about 5 people at a time to get your first 2 pics taken and then go back in the big room and sit down until your called in a private room alone. A women didnt shake my hand didnt act the friendliest and said she thinks i have a good look and to come back the following day at 12:30pm so i had no extra dressy clothes so i had to waste my time going out shopping and a big $200 waste of money on a nice outfit, that I didnt actually need but i didnt pack extra nice clothes. I was super excited at this time, wanted to get a good nights sleep so i was vibrant for the next day.
Go there see about 10 familar faces from the day before. I get called in a room alone with a different women then before named Christina super nice girl "SO I THOUGHT"! She asked me a few questions, asking if id be willing to travel? I said "Absolutly" Well she leaves me in the room alone for about 10 min's. And says well im going to talk to my supervisor about this interview and see if youd be good for our company. Well she comes back in and of course she said Im so beautiful and id be so good for there company and they would sign me.
So at that point my heart is racing like OMG, this is REAL... Until she says ok well dah, dah, dah Theres a $495.00 one time charge and there after only $39.95 a month to keep me with them and for them helping cast me to different modeling jobs. Im like OK!:-/ She said everything soo. Quick and excited for me that i went ahead and gave her my card and she said congratulations! I then had another app. Set up for 2 week later. And found out after that app. They want another $500-700 for there Photographer. I left there, and another male came out a few monents after me and asked if i was just up there and if they wanted to sign me?
I said yes they did want me and he said did you pay them I said yes again. Well he said he was worried it was a scam and they told him he only had until a certain time that day to make up his mind or they didnt want him. And that he was going to look them up on the internet. So as I already did all of that stuff upstairs...:- (Im driving home with my fiance and Im feeling scared and like i made a bad choice. I start looking up on the internet about OST scams and here nothing BUT horror stories.
Well there all soo true because the women who conned me into this, i tryed calling back an hour after i had left there and they said shed call me back and never did and still hasnt after 2 days now. And she told me to call her anytime with any questions. And that my profile and own website would be ready in a few hours which still doesnt exsist. Ive tryed several times. So The NYS Law is that you have 3 days to reverse anything that you have purchased so I overnighted a letter and faxed them a long letter telling them I want my paperwork destroyed and all of my money back in my account immediatly, or I will have a civil suit against them and stand outside there building at there next app's. And give everyone the [email protected] web-site and NOBODY will go upstairs and waist there time like I did and so many others do.: (
Now Im trying to get back all that money. Everyone... Research!!! And No modeling agency will want money up front... EVER!!! There truly convincing people who work there. I couldnt work there knowing that these people have such high hopes of going somewhere far with spending ALL THIS MONEY... And basically stealing these peoples money and act like such real people. THERE NOT!!! PLEASE listen to me and dont have nothing to do with this company. I FEEL SOOO SAD and wanna cry for all the people who dont know about them and/or catch them soon enough like I did to hopefully get all my money back and not waste my $40 a month they'll take automatically out of my account.
