I received a water and sewer bill from the City of Hialeah from 11/5 through January 14 with a high water consumption of 392 "Cons" amounting to $288.94 dollars. Separate to the bill, I received a letter notifying a meter reading indicating higher than normal consumption that will affect my next bill.
I concluded the meter reading above is incorrect as my neighbor experienced the same issue two months ago, high meter reading. His meter was changed and the problem was resolved. Nevertheless, he is in the process of obtaining credit back for the erroneous charges. For the past two bill cycles amounting to over $500.00 dollars.
How can I get my meter changed and avoid paying the erroneous bill cycles charges for this and next statements without affecting my service?
