When I called to order the two trucks offered on television, I got an automated ordering machine that took me through a series of offers before finally finishing my order. I accepted the offer of fou

I ordered two die cast replicas of vehicles on television. The company used an automated ordering system which made of series of other offers before finalizing the transaction. They offered sets of four vehicles of which I declined until the last offer of four muscle cars ('69 Ford Mustang-302 Boss, '56 Ford Thunderbird, '57 Chevy, and '69 Camero SS).

The last offer surprised me because it had all of the popular classic cars of the 60s and 70s. So I ordered it as well along with a display case for the six cars I had ordered. I was excited about receiving my order until I found out that the package was sent with my brother's name on it and contained four vehicles that I did not order which the invoice stated I did.

I called the customer service number included on the invoice and asked why my package was delivered with my brother's name on it. The man on the phone told me that his records only gave my name. I asked him to call me back with the name and number of the company that took my order. My sister told me to call back and talk to a supervisor instead of waiting for him to call me back.

When I called back I told the lady about the wrong name on my order and she told me that the records showed someone changing the name about an hour ago. So the man lied to me about the name. That was the first warning sign. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I told him that my order was not right and he told me that they substituted four other cars for the four I ordered because they ran out of the other. They used bait which a car lover couldn't refuse and switched the bait with vehicles that they could not sell.

I asked for a return postage label and he told me that I would have to pay return postage. The order was $60 and they charged me $21.80 S&H. I had to pay $10.66 postage to return the package of which I am out.

I would guess that most people would not pay the expense of sending the package back and keep what they could not sell. I hope the law can do something about this scam. I cannot go on their website to warn people.
