Consumer Report

I was sent a scam email that I thought was from my dad. I clicked on the link in the email and was brought to a page about how a women made a lot of money working online from home. I then clicked on the Home Cash System link on that page and was taken to another page where I read about how I could make a lot of money posting links for online companies for $15.00 per link. I was led to believe that all that was required to earn the money was to post the links (one every 4 minutes or so) so I purchased the online training program. Once I logged on to the program, I learned that getting paid $15 per link was a lie. I would first have to set up my own website, bring traffic to the website, post links there, rely on visiters to click on the link and purchase the product before I would earn a commission. There was an affiliate marketing link, but when I clicked on that link, I was brought to info about signing up with Clickbank.com which I did. But after researching more on affiliate marketing, I learned that I would still have to set up a website, bring traffic, etc. This is false advertising and bait and switch! I have disputed the charge with my credit card company. We called customer support at 866-376-9043 to request a refund. After trying to persuade me that I did not have to set up a website etc., and to try the program first, the support person granted me a refund and gave me a confirmation number. My credit card company informed me that we would have to wait 30 days to see if they would actually give me the refund.
