A grocery Stimulus was advertisered on the radio for a $1000 coupon book. When I called it required the review of a Shipping Rebate Program. I would be charged 19.95 for $1000 worth of coupon vouchers (to be used on anything-said the salesman). If I reviewed the shipping rebate program and didn't want it all I had to do was call a number and cancel. Otherwise I would be charged a recurrent membership charge for the shipping service. If I signed up for the shipping program I would receive 15.95 back of the 19.95 I paid.
I recieved the Shipping rebate program, didn't like the program guidelines so I canceled. Then I awaited my promised $1000 in coupon vouchers to be used on anything I desired according to the salesman (which I was ok paying 19.95 for). I recieved an envelope in the mail from Advanced Grocery Savers that wanted me to register online at a website with a special number It mentiond "membership" in the materials. As I read through the website: www.advancedgrocerysavers.com the information contained a statement I found amusing. "The tremendous menu of available grocery offers and benefits are all located in the Online Grocery Coupon Fulfillment Area within this website and does require the online activation of your Advanced Grocery Savings Program account." basically you can get the fabulour 8 tips that they offer for savings on various products (like a costco membership discount) all on your own without the use of this program and of course without paying the 19.95
What a croc. What a scam.
I have disputed the charge on my credit card which I had to look at to find an address for this "company". The address for everyones knowledge is 865 Spring St. Westbrook ME 04092 The customer service number is 866-276-2600. The billing service number is 888-761-1039 The email address is [email protected].
I recommend that everyone file a complaint with the BBB.org I did. Use this address to file.
