My student loans and scholarships are deposited on my university-issued Higher One card. Each year when I get my student loans/scholarships, I am charged 3.5 percent to access my own money in order to pay my property taxes. Higher One calls this a cash advance, but it is not creditit is my own loan and scholarship money. I took $1,500 two days ago to pay my property taxes and Higher One charged me $52.50. This is not right. How can they do this?
