It started just before Thanksgiving 2009 and I fought this myself for 6 months. Having tough time finding job, awake at night see infomercial. End result I order at home training course. Try to start and to call coach, who turns out only to be some real smooth dude, very good at his job. Turns out he up-sells me for live course and mentor online and phone training, to the tune of $5,000. I split the charge between two credit cards. Decided against it by Thanksgiving day, tried to call day after to cancel but they are closed, so I wait till monday to call. They say I am too late for the free trial guarantee (turns out they have terms and conditions you can look at but do not have to check anything proving you at least had access to it. BUT I'd made my order over phone and they did not tell me I had only 7 days to cancel. (very short time will have to get out my papers to be exact; this whole thing was long and very complicated) Blah blah to make long story short they signed me up for something else. I was practically shouting into the phone that I did not want it but there it was, So I disputed with both CC companies. After 3 months battle and Dalbey finally sending me an email stating that they would refund $2000 on the one card, it would be there 4-6 days. It never came of course. (the email was their only mistake in writing, and after that they even claimed I needed to repay it since they were so nice to sign me up for another class.) So with the written email my company was able to collect. The other company after 3 more months fight, a card I have had 10 yrs did not find in my favor even with the info about the first company getting me a refund and clear evidence that they lied about the returned charges. When I tried to fax Dalbey's fax never accepted communication. They called me almost every day trying to get the first $2000 back I stopped answering the phone as they are expert at what they do with the recorded conversations and all. They would not respond to email, no fax only 'recorded' phone conversations. I asked for a transcript from a conversation that I know was about 45 minutes. I got a 2-page what sounded like jotted down notes. Certainly nothing resembling transcript. No quoted conversation. Just she said that... Blah blah. We told her. Whatever... Then she said that... No transcript that would prove what I had agreed to. They were high pressure that first call. Saying Diane I need a yes Is that a Yes? I need a yes. (they could not give me a coy or transcript of this so called recorded conversation. Of course not! I was always screaming "I do not accept' They signed me up for another class. I told them I did not consider myself enrolled as I was waiting to see refund on CC. Pressure calls every day. Every time I talked to them I ended by saying i do not acceot etc. Then I finally just stopped answering all phone calls... Friends too... I have friends and family with colorado phone numbers Dalbey has same area code and scores of #'s and lines. So one CC company got me a $2000. Refund and the other company did not. Lost $3,000. These guys are slippery. Lucky I split that charge! Just a couple months ago I got wind that Dalbey is being sued or out of business... Something, Tried to follow and finally have arrived here. Is there any hope?
