I reported this scam on my account yesterday to scambook. The bank did pay the amount and the name changed from propertyhousevalue.com to carreports.com. I did go on their website looking for a report on a car I wish to purchase. They charged a fee of $2.95 (the website shown on the printout for the receipt is http://www.carvinhistory.com). However, their information was useless and out of date. They do have a notice that you can cancel at any time. Otherwise you will be charged $29.95 a month if they are not notified. Typical scam site. So, there's our villain and I was careless and didn't "cancel" within their time limit of only 3 days.
If you have visited this site and, who knows, they may have other sites pulling the same scheme, they give a Customer Care phone number of (888) 613-1485 with business hours of Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm PST, Saturday 9am - 3pm PST and Sunday 9am - 1pm PST.
I will call today and attempt to cancel my "account". I'll let you know how that goes.
