My stay at the house of vision was a very unsuccessful one that ending with them lying multiple times to my face and so called "throwing my things away" the house of vision seems like its a nice place on the outside and the true values that it's supposed to represent. Even though i heard a bunch of different stories from numerous sources about the house of vision i still left from the shelter where i was currently staying (sojourner truth house of peace) because they house of vision kept basically calling day in and day out almost of if they were trying to weigh me down and talk me into coming there, stating that i could cook my own meals which was thee ONLY good thing about the house of vision, they really don't bother screening the roomates they place in the same rooms with you mines was ms. Lisa he was a drunk she smoked pot and always smelled of liquor not to mention that she had mental illnesses that they didnt bother telling me about she was very smart alec rde obnixious refused to clean always blasted music while she was there i let the staff know that she wasnt willing to do what was asked of her in the papers we all sign which was give respect to roomates clean behind yourself dont do drugs or drink while living there, ms lisa for some strange reason rearranged everything i placed in our small home setting and put everything of mines in different places she went into my room constanlty rambling through my things and taking what she needed with no consequences from the staff she remove my things from all cabinets and did what she pleased with them wes stayed together dispite me constant complaints of her wrong doing for a month they let her slide with stealing eating my food touching my things causing problems coming in high and drunk or many occasions. I decided to start a protest against the house of vision because their liars cheats and thieves all around bad people in my eyes, the only good person i met through this crazy experience is a caucasian women named barb. Minister larry is a criminal pastor james is a "former" pimp and the rest of the staff are cmplete liars. Even though i constantly checked in stopped by and called even pick of what items i could take with me on the bus they threw everything i owned away aside from all of this happening before hand they waited until i left to work a 12 hour shift went through and packed my thing they told me as soon as i walked in the house of vision doors that following morning that they packed my things and that i no longer stayed their... I wasnt very upset that these "godly" people would do such a thing like this but i asked could i leave my things in the basement where they placed them until i can find a ride they said "sure i could"... I called a week back from december 29 to let them know that i was moving into an apartment and that i have a ride for next week wendesday which was dec. 29 to come and pick up the rest of my items i was told for sure that my things were still there and that i could come and get them they even gave me praise for finding a placed and asked where i was moving to, which was obviously just a front because they didnt care about my well being at all. I called the morning of december 29 and asked to speak to larry anthony the owner of the house of vision he spoke kindly until i asked about my things he led on to say that he doesnt know who i am doesnt remember me and has no record of me ever being their to mot call him call the office and leave my number for them to call me back (he did know exactly who i was because he always flirted with me and always knew my name each time he say me he addressed me by name) larry anthony rushed me off of the phone and hung up in my face so i decided to call his wife evelyn who had during my stay in my presence was always a nice lady, i explained to her what was happening and asked where my things still there in the basement she let me know that she was just now pulling up to the office and that after her meeting is over at 230 she will check and call me back after waiting for ms evenlyn to call me until almost 6pm i decided to give her a call (which all calls and conversations are recorded and saved to my phone automatically) she let me know before she entered her meeting that my items were indeed there that she had someone check i asked was she sure and she told me yes and would i be able to get a ride to come and get my things today because that cant hold them any longer i said that i was waiting for my uncle to come and pick me up as we speak and that ill give her a call to let her know im on my way. When my uncle was arriving i called ms evelyn to tell her im on my way she then changed her story to say that she didnt know what happened that they held it for as long as they could that i knew that my items couldnt stay any longer and that they gave them away the people at the house of vision at the moment gave away my life, memories, i asked ms evelyn did they at least shred the very personal documents that i have there she said no that they just"threw everything away"so they basically handed my personal info (ss# name birth certificate ss card) over for anyone to have and use for what ever they may; what upseted me is that she lied, during my stay there i watched them pack up go through and first off let the staff take what they wanted from this persons posessions that were left behing then handed of the rest to the residents that wanted the items. At this point im not trying to bad mouth them i just felt that i should be able to give my point of view on my stay there.
