I would like to say a few things that are on my mind. I have been in the magazine business now for 24 years. So there are a few things that are wrong with this industry. One of which is the National Field Selling Association (NFSA). The NFSA was first put into place as a war fund. A fund to help Door to Door people, defend them in a court of law.
Dan Smith (old as dirt) was hired to lobby for our industry, in the halls of Washington DC. At that time the industry was all over the news. Joe and Vinnie were trying to get their 15 minutes of fame on the Sally Jesse Rafael show.
That back fired on them, in a big way. Dan should have been replaced 15 years ago, but he gets a check every month from the dues paid. Yes, you have to pay dues to be part of this black ops cover up. The only way to get ELECTED to the board you must be in the cleaner or magazine industry. Not one person is a member outside of that group. None from the newspapers, candy, or big door to door industry, i.E. Shaklee, Amway, NSA or even the door to door meat companies are members. Then there is that busybody Elaine Williams and all of her threats and noise makers.
Which brings us to date? The NFSA needs to be shut down. It is a cancer of our business. Please allow me to explain. Prior to the current president, they had a criminal running the place.
He has a record that has some very serious crimes on it. Well, hes gone after he misused his position of the NFSA for his own wealth. Now the current president is the widow of one of the Biggest Wrongdoers that has ever been in this industry. It should be her duty to clean up all the sh*t her husband left behind. She has never worked for an honest company nor ever ran one. So where does she get examples from on how the business should be run. What did she read a book? Maybe some people should do a little homework on the person that representing them.
I wouldnt piss on her if she was on fire. The Halls have one of the dirtiest names in this business. Do you know Mac called a black man N*gger for his entire time he worked for him, 27 years. So did his children and she allow that to go on. Now they want to represent everyone in this industry. Lol. Or maybe we could talk about all the people Mac Hall beat the sh*t out of. How many people that were raped. Run a back ground check on this guy. His children are, an still in, the industry today. They must have read that book, too.
What I want to address is the role of the NFSA, today. Its mission is to clean up the industry. I will have to say its real mission is to cover up after criminal companies. To cover up all of the complaints, about the reckless companies that operate today. I ask you this, hy try and cover up the scumbags, why not BLACKLIST out of the industry. I will tell you why, because most of the people that care about what is said about the door to door business are cleaning up after themselves. If enough people complain to the FTC instead of some website. The disobedient will go away. The NFSA is nothing but a failsafe answer for criminals in this business.
So, which brings me to my next point, the NFSA giving out bus tickets? I have personally given people the information about parent watch. I have also told stranded people at the bus station, not in the business about parent watch and their free tickets they give out. I tell them to call them and say they worked for a magazine crew and they are stranded. I also have given out names of managers to tell them they worked for.
So anybody needing to travel for free, that is the answer. But, its 2012 and anyone I know that runs add, doesnt put return guaranteed in their ad. I havent for at least 6 years now. So Elaine Williams can go hump herself, (owner of parent watch). But if you need a free ticket or know of someone who does call them. They buy one every time. I know of people who use this system to jump from crew to crew. Nice job, Elaine, you provide the swindlers free travel. I will soon print some business cards up and pass them out with this information at every bus station across America. (I still travel) So in the year of may parent watch buy 27,000 bus tickets. That should be fun.
Everyone has a parent, so they should provide everyone tickets. Then we have the Background Checks. There are NO guidelines of who you can hire. So the company knows they have a murderer working for their company. So, Who Cares, is the position of the NFSA. But, you can order a background check for a fee from any one of the magazine or cleaner companies. They do that to.
So you say, without the NFSA we wont be able to sell magazines door to door. I say BULLSH*T! Publishers come and go
and always come back. And if they dont, who cares. A new magazine is started every week. When I came into the business we had 1 magazine on our list that people knew, Rolling Stone, all the rest were sh*t nobody ever hears of. So thats a bunch of crap. The Clearing houses are just getting lazy and not hunting for new prospects.
What power does the NFSA really have? NONE! They cant do sh*t to anyone who isnt a member. So if this means anything to anyone, the NFSA should just go away.
I know the response the NFSA and their cover up artist will say. Come join us so you can have a voice. NO THANKS, I wouldnt have you people represent me in a water fight. You just want my money to pay your payroll of artist. Cover up artist.
Maybe in the illegitimate companies and the NFSA will finally go away for good. Wake up people!
