PMI AKA Sunshine Subscriptions AKA Gemini AKA CCC, Inc - Palmetto Marketing New Scam tactic, comes one week, then a week late

So about 2 weeks ago I was sitting at home playing some video games with friends, when this guy comes and knocks on my door. He said his name was John Masino or something and that he was selling magazines for extra credit in some business sales class. I believed him because the profs at my school do some wierd activities sometimes. I decided to order a subscription to PC Mag, since mine was running out next month. He filled out his form and I wrote him a check. He told me to make it out to CCC, Inc. Then he said that someone would call me a week later and I could cancel if I wanted to back out. After he left I noticed he had put down the wrong magazine on the form and also the wrong address. I figured I would just cancel when they called me in 7 days.

Today, someone else came to my door by the name of Josh Gibson to sell me some more, and I told him that I had already bought from someone else. He asked if it was the Gemini people with CCC, Inc. I told him it was and he said "Did they say they were with school? They aren't supposed to do that. Those people are a scam." I hadn't recieved a call for cancelling my order yet so I was inclined to believe that they were a scam. I didn't order one because I can't afford to until I get my money back for the others. He kept going on that the Gemini people hadn't been with their organization for 2 years. He showed me on my copy of the old reciept where the NFSA logo was blurred out. He kept going on with the fact that he could get my money back if I helped him out with his subscriptions. He even went so far as to get me to call his boss and talk to him. (877 222 5589) I told him to go down to the neighboring apartment because they didn't order anything from the first salesman.

He told me as he was leaving that I could fill out todays date on the back of the CCC reciept and send it back to get a cancellation even if it was past the 3 days. I then drove to the post office and mailed the reciept in to cancel. I then went on the internet and google searched for the names of both companies.ccC, Inc. (Coast to Coast Circulations) apparently does not exist. I searched for Gemini and PMI sales and found out that they are the same company. I doubt that I will ever get my money back or my magazine subscription.

So just beware that they will try to get you twice in 2 weeks with this new tactic, and DON'T fall for it.
