POD Payment Fraud

Beware of PODS, at least in the Southeast states.

We have paid $75 a month for 18 months, via withdrawal from our Credit Union account as per agreement. Today (27 Aug), a PODS moving truck came up, stopped, and the driver literally banged on our door, claimed we were three months behind in payments, advised us that our POD was up for auction, and we had ten minutes to call PODS or pay one month's fee, or he would have to remove the POD for auction.

27 Aug Being a Saturday, of course, no one at PODS management is in until the following next workday, Monday.

While the PODS worker was positioning his pickup unit, I went on-line and printed out our Credit Union statement report for the past five months up until 27 Aug. ALL showed PODS withdrawals once per month, of $75.23, the contracted amount. OH, and by the way, the local PODS business phone number, the one that identifies their allowing to be withdrawing from our CU account, was disconnected long ago (!)

I.E., no one is "three months past due", the PODS mover actually agreed with us, and asked us if we refused to allow him to remove our PODS unit from our house property, to which we stated "yes" in front of reliable witnesses, and the PODS worker agreed to leave. The PODS in question has our property in it, being stored until our home-owners insurance finishes screwing us, er, sorry, finishes covering our house storm damage.

This "error" will be corrected properly come Monday 29 Aug or criminal charges WILL be filed against PODS headquarters and their upper management.

Bottom line: A great deal of what PODS does in the U.S. Is quite apparently fraudulent AND crosses state lines, removes money from ones bank or CU account sometimes without authorization, etc.

Wake up! When or if this or what happened to us happens to you, go directly to your local prosecutors office, your state Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission, AND, if PODS business crosses state lines, interferes with your financial institution, and the like, request an interview with your local FBI office (yes... You read it right)

As long as you are in the right, you will be amazed, positively and in ones favor, as to what begins to unfold, IF you handle the situation correctly and are willing to see it through.
