I seem to be one of the many who were scammed by Carribean
Cruise Line.in early November I was taking a short survey on line
when my phone rang and it was Carribean Cruise Line saying I had
won a free cruise to the Bahamas. Several representatives from
the company spoke to me in such a fast and furious way I could
hardly make out what they were saying. I kept being transferred
from one person to another. Eventually I was transferred to a very
rude man by the name of Blake. I explained to him that I just
lost my husband and financially I am unable to take this cruise. I
asked to have it cancelled and the $915 returned to my credit card.
I live in California and this Blake person said that California has a
3 day cancellation period. This was in early November and a few
days ago I received a package in the mail, evidently way past the
3 day cancellation period. I never heard of California having a 3
day cancellation period and what does California have to do with a
cruise out of Florida? I continued to explain to this rude person
that there was no way I could take this cruise and he continued to
speak in a very loud and rude voice. He told me I could sell the
cruise or give it away, very unprofessional. How can I get back the
$915? I bank with Bank of America, they have a fraud department
but I am not sure what constitutes a fraud with them. I will be
contacting them in the next day or two.
