Consumer Report

On the 17th of August I received a phone call from Top Of The First Page wanting me to sign up as they will assist me with my homes based business (WMI) to be at top of the google rankings amongst others.

After an hour of harrasing me on the phone, I gave in to them and paid them a deposit of $500.00 and they were requiring another $1000.00 to complete the order.

After I received a letter from them on the 24th of August stating Sorry we missed you for our scheduled Market Analysis Call. This is what they said:

"Please call us so that we can we can re-schedule as soon as possible.
We are on a very strict timetable to achieve your first page rankings on
the search engines, and have already begun work on your account; however,
we do value your input, and look forward to speaking with you.

We will be moving forward with the next step in development and processing if we
do not hear from you by tomorrow."

Well the following day I wrote to them stating:
"Sorry for not being in contact yesterday.

I am currently in arrears with my mastercard account and the bank have suspended it for now. At this stage until it is cleared there is nothing I can do. I will let you know if I can sort this out from my end."

At this time I had not even discussed with them the SEO words that I wanted to use.

And I continued to receive threatening phone calls from them. I wrote to them again on the 29th of August:

"At this stage, due to my current financial situation, it seems like the bank will not be issuing me with a credit card. Please cancel my subscription at this time. I do not know when I will get another card.

I would like a refund if at all possible, however I understand this may not be possible.

Thanks for your time."

Right now, I certainly am not concerned about the refund as about the threats that they currently making to me - that they are going to make me pay the $1000.00 to them and they are threatening me with legal action. This must stop. I was clear with them stating I could not pay and to stop the service - it seems they didn't.

Also, it states on the contract the following:
"All work is performed and completed within the first 30 days from date of payment in full."

Seeing that I did not pay them in full, then why would they continue on to do the work - even when I told them I could not pay???

Please could you assist me here. Please. I am on unemployment benefit here in Australia and I need assistance.

Thanks so much in advance.

Jason Stephenson.
