Consumer Report

An email internet business sent me an email with a work at home offer on the internet that sounded promising. For an initial investment of $10 I would be a 10 day free trial with a one time payment of $75 if I decided to keep it. I started to close it out when a popup said I could try it for 10 days for $1. I decided it might be worth it so I said ok. As soon as I got the email I started checking out the website. Everywhere I went it wanted more and more money, things like setting up a website which I had no idea how to do. It was outrageous so I immediatedly emailed them and told them to cancel it. I wasn't interested. The next day they called me. A man calling himself Mr. Blue tried to convince me to try it and finally put someone else on the phone. I kept telling them I didn't want it and finally after about an hour they hung up. I then emailed them and asked for an email confirmation of the cancellation which I got. According the the email it was cancelled 11/01. They had already charged my credit card $1. I thought it was over. I got my credit card today with the $1 charge, then at 9:16 P.M. Tonight they called and told me I could not cancel. I told them I kept the email confirming the cancellation but they claimed there was no way I could cancel unless I set up a web site and tried to make money. The called id says Traffic Guru In. The phone number is 702-260-1319. The guy was really a smart alec. He said they would just keep billing me every month because they had my credit card number whether I wanted it or not because I ordered it. That if I didn't want it I shouldn't be ordering online. I know this has to be a scam. No reuptable company would do this.in any case, I have the email confirming I canceled well within the 10 day free trial. I also have every email they sent and that I sent them. I think they should be stopped from scamming people. I don't see how I can be forced to pay for something I agreed to look at and then canceled.
