Received a phone call offering a $200.00 gas card and coupons for travel, restaurants, etc. They would not take no for an answer. I finally agreed to pay $2.95 to check it out and was told I could cancel anytime. I called them back several hours later and told whomever answered (a female) I wanted it canceled immediately as I felt it was a scam. She hung up on me. On 10/26 there was a charge on my debit card for $2.95 from VIP Books, 11/02 there were two charges, $25.00 and $14.95,11/03 a charge for $39.95 and 11/04 another charge for $14.95 which after an unpleasant conversation was credited back to my account. All of these charges were from the following phone numbers supposedly: 866 271 3895,866 271 2443, and 888 272 5027. When calling these people you always wait at least twenty minutes and the person you speak with is difficult to understand and very arrogant. They all said these charges were for coupons, books etc and although I have not received anything; they could not credit my account for these charges because I did not cancel within 7 days. Leisure Plus, Ultimate Savings Plus, Books Direct, VIP Books and SB Savings are all one and the same scam.
