Received an offer from First Mortgage West of L.A.in June and began what appeared to be a very professional relationship to refinance a second home.
I checked them out on-line and with the BBB (AAA rating), and found only one negative review (person complained that the requirement to hold a years payments during the 'seasoning' period seemed odd and quit the process).
Things were progressing... After I wired the required funds, they completed an appraisal, and advised that funding would occur on or about 10/5. That email was 9/27, and I have not heard from anyone since. My contact was Michael Walker.
Have made repeated attempts both by phone and email, and contacted the FBI, who has a special agent assigned to the numerous complaints received about this company.
