I have my Discover credit card setup to notify me on any charges over $50.00 by email, and I make it a point to call HSBC Discover card every time to verify the charges. On 10/29 I received the email notice and called the customer support service center at 1-877-737-9705 to inquire about the recent charge that was over $50.00. I ws advised that the charge was from NMX GOLD Advisor, on 10/29. Since I did not recognize the charge as being one I initiated, and concerned about my credit card being now compromised, I requested my credit card be cancelled ASAP. The next week I received a request from HSBC Discover Card to acknowledge that the noted charge was not initiated my me and mailed the signed acknowledgement and sent the document back to Discover and they would start the investigation.
