I signed up with the service about 6 months ago after meeting with Kim. I felt like during my interview with her that she made some valid points about why online dating hadn't worked for me over the past 3 years. I'm 45 years old and I haven't been married. I'm not a bad looking guy and I have a good job. I just kept meeting women who weren't anything like they represented themselves in their profiles. I went on a lot of bad dates and felt like I was throwing my money and time away. I tried some meet up groups too and that was just too random and awkward to remain hopeful enough that I would ever meet anyone.
What appealed to me about this was that I would hear about everyone I met before I went out and then I could give feedback to my matchmaker afterwards. I have gone out about twice a month and the quality of people I have met has been really impressive. I've taken a few women out on follow up dates after the initial dates and I ended up meeting a really wonderful woman who is now my girlfriend of 3 months. Things seem to be headed in the right direction. What's great about meeting people through this is that you know ahead of time that the people you are meeting have the same goals that you do so if you hit it off you know there is potential for things to actually go somewhere. That's not to say that I didn't have some disappointments here and there, but when I did it helped to be able to talk to someone about it to get back on track.
I got a lot of helpful guidance from my matchmakers about what to wear on my dates and even got suggestions on where to take my dates. Hearing what other people had to say about me was really interesting too and it gave me a lot of insight into how I come off to people when they meet me. I learned a lot from my experience and had a lot of fun doing this. It isn't a no fail system, but I don't think there really is one out there. I ended up getting what I wanted in a tenth of the time I had on my own. Can't really complain about that!
