Phone solicitor offered an opportunity to lower my credit card interest rates. The sales pitch began. The charge of $895. Would be paid off in the first 2 months through the lower interest rates. Blah blah.
I reluctantly authorized the charge. The next step was to send me a package with forms to fill out with all my credit information. The package arrived a week or so later and I called that day to cancel.
They said there would be a refund. I called again a few weeks later again, they would flag my account for a refund. Another call. More of the same. I then sent a letter detailing the events, no response. This week I called spoke to 3 different people, the last one saying he had no authorization and his supervisor would return my call when she got off the phone. That was 3 days ago. No return call.
