On Monday October 17th, on the 7:57 AM ferry from Newburgh to Beacon, the ferry was approaching the Beacon pier at a high rate of speed. Just before contact one of the two mates yelled one word as a warning just before we HIT the pier. The impact jolted everyone. That evening I notice 3 of the 5 hindges on the steel walkway connecting the pier to the ferry were broken, they were fixed on Friday the 20th. This was definately not a standard docking and do not know where to report this. But it needs to be documented!
