Paid amount above to belong to travel club saying we would be paying wholesale prices for 5 star resorts and flying first class because of their buying power, etc. Etc. Upon return from vacation and checking them on line we found that they were not an 'a' rated co. As we were told; but rather a 'c.' and that their were 126 claims filed against them for false advertising.
On line we saw report after report of this co. Being nothing more than a scam. Upset we called and spoke to connie maher, travel services mgr. We were shocked to learn that if we wanted to travel first class we could, of course, but we had to pay extra, definately not what we were told at the presentation. They gave us an airfare of $575 for st. Maarten, which is what anyone picking up the phone and calling american airles can get.
No wholesale price at all. Their resort... The flamingo; would be rated with motel 6. It is not a 5 star resort; but rather a hotel in the noisy and busy section of phillisburgh, no room for parking, and no beach resort.
Asked or a quote on a specific cruise, specific ship with specific itineray for a specific date; over a month has gone by without any reply from the vacation station. They are a total rip off and scam operation.
