I purchased points from bidsauce to bid on one of their auctions.
1) the way it works, it is very difficult to win unless you spend more on points than the actually item is worth.
2) When you win, relatively few people actully receive the item.
In my case, I was told there was a backlog in filling orders but definitely before Christmas. Then, I was told they were still backe up but any day they will be shipping my item-a $100 Best Buy gift card (that cost me $210 in points to win). Finally, IN March of I was told-by the same girl that always answers their phone-that the merchant who was supposed to fill their orders, isn't going to. She said there is nothing they could do for me because they don't have the money to fill my order. This made no sense to me because they-not 'the merchant' received my money. They-not the merchant owe me the money. I asked her if Bidsauce is still operating. Yes, she said. Then you have money in your coffers to pay me. Oh no, we couldn't do that.
In searching online, I have come across many sites where other people have had the same experience. I have also come across people who have won many items and received one or two. My guess is that Bidsauce delivers on just enough items to keep people hopeful and hooked. I have also come across sites that ask whether Bidsauce is a scam and it says it is not. These are obviously sites by Bidsauce and one of them even has bidsauce.com in the address bar. Unbelievable!
Deceptive business practice and fraud define Bidsauce. Stay away!
