Online, I ordered about $10.00 of hair care products a couple of months ago (free shipping included) and paid for it with my Visa card. On my September 19th Visa card statement I was charged $11.97 by LC Freeshipping.com. I called the company and was told that I had signed up for their free shipping service when I ordered the hair products and would continue to be charged $11.97 every month.
This was a complete surprise to me, and I canceled this outrageous service. This ripoff charge was more than I paid for the hair products. I am an experienced online shopper, and I always carefully check for backdoor scams and opt out of any marketing offers. Somehow, I missed this one and got stiffed for $11.97.
