I was contacted by Doug Waters, a representative from remate Services on 9/21 about a personal loan that I had applied for online. He informed me that because of my credit history, I would only qualify for a secured loan, which requires a cash collateral that equals two months payment. I received a loan contract via email, which detailed the terms of the loan, payment schedule and interest rate. I signed my portion and faxed the information back to Mr. Waters on September 29th. He told me that I had to wire the collateral ($500 plus $40) to a Mr. Brian Jeffrey. After the transaction was complete and he informed that the funds would be deposited into my checking account within 24 hours. No money and Mr. Waters is not available and will not return any calls.
