Comming into this store as a employee, I've noticed that my manager has been really picky. How ever, that is expected of any manager the difference between my manager is that she will humiliate me and my co-workers in public which forces us to stay quite because our job is always at risk. I work in a retail store, constantly dealing with rude people, although work is work and hard to find my manager is the most difficult person Ive ever had to work with. Not only is her English very poor. She always seems mad and very and tense at all times and even agitated.
I remember having a conversation with her recently and she said i was hitting her when i had asked her a question, about some rules of work. I was really frustrated because she kept asking me why i have so many questions (when I only asked a few) but she wouldn't answer my questions. Finally when i asked for a copy of the paper i signed for work (that stated my employment period) she refused to give me one and said that i didn't need it and she doesn't have to give me one, because she said " I didn't need it".in addition to her being very uneducated in English she is very rude to the customers follows them around basic-ed on their race. The reason i know this is based on race is because if a African American walks into the store she directly approaches them and asks if they need help follows them which makes them feel very uncomfortable.
One day a women walked in to the store; my manager will directly say " Hi can i help you? Plus size is in the back on the left". When that women walked in that day she felt very uncomfortable, i felt like i owed that lady and apology. Now about how my manager is calling for our assistants she will call our name and clap at us and not deseret in any way. My manger has even yelled at me about throwing something way like a paper towel i used to clean the windows and one small piece still looked clean to her. Making me ashamed and extremely embarrassed because guests, customers, and my employees were watching. Also I found a senor on the floor and took it too my manager; instead of telling me "Oh no! Did you see who did it? Where did you find it ", she yelled at me n said she was gonna give me a warning because I was not watching who ever did this.
As an employee we are only allowed to be given 3 warnings and after we could be fired. I really want something to happen about this. Three workers have already quit, and the assistant manager is ready to do so as well. This women is impossible to work with. Just like me and my co-workers we are only putting up with this because we desperately need the income and simply can't find another job.
