In April we were contacted by Novation Law Center regarding a Loan Modification. We signed a contract and made a cash deposit for $3500 for a retainer fee for services. We were dealing with legal processors and dealt with about 5 different people. I have been calling about every week to week and a half for an update. The last conversation I had was on 9/06 and asked about an account update. I was told that they were still waiting to be contacted by our bank. I was told that if I didn't hear from them by 9/09 to callback. Today, 9/09 I called and all numbers were "busy." I then e-mailed my contact person and the e-mail address came back "unknown." I looked on the internet for the Novation Law Center web site and the web site does not exist anymore. I have contracts and a deosit slip for the retainer fee.
