Turning Debt into Wealth or Prosper Learning
Consumer Report

We were told a mentor/coach would work with us to personalize our strategy for getting out of debt. We were told of the expectations of our participation and need to be ready to work. We were extremely faithful to do everything we were asked to do and more. We were very motivated and disciplined. The coach was the key part of this service, with online lectures and readings to supplement. We did all the work. Problem came when we were asked to do a budget, keep track of expenses. The coach was not able to assist us if we used Quicken or Quick Books, which we had been using and familiar with and had our data already automatically downloading from the bank. The coach could only advise us based on using their proprietary bookkeeping software. We spent most of our coaching time unable to apply the knowledge of the coach to our situation, the main point of the expensive coaching program ($9,995.) All attempts to work around this and find someone in the company that could help with our roadblock failed. The time expired for our coaching, and we were told that was all they could do to help us personally. Despite our persistant attempts to find some resolution, this was a failure. So, we paid almost $1000 for each 25-35 min. Coaching session and it was not at all what we believed and were told we could expect. It is 2 years later and my loan to pay for this debt reduction individual coaching and help, is still not paid off (at a 17%) interest rate.
Very Very unhappy. Feel raped and stupid.
