I received a phone call from a man named Neil C. Quinn about a personal loan i had applied for. After talking back and forth for a few days I decided to accept the loan. I am not familiar with the whole loan process so when he mentioned a down payment i had just assumed it was like a car loan and showing good faith since i had bad credit. I sent $781 western union to the said "lender" by the name of Alejandra Sandes in Barcelona Spain. The loan amount of $5000 dollars was supposed to be deposited into my account by the next business day. On that day i received a call from the manager, Keith Harrington. He had told me that the lenders insurance company was requiring another 6 months up front to secure the loan. At this point i really needed the money due to what i had already invested into it and was told once again i would have the loan by the next day. So i foolishly sent in another $781. The next day Keith called me again and said that the "lender" pulled out and that they were pursuing legal action against them for breaching their contract. He said that their insurance company would cover the amount i had sent it but it would take up to 30 days for them to release the claim. I am now realizing how ignorant i was in this whole situation and that i am being taken advantage of. They are still responded to my phone calls but i fear if nothing is done about it soon that they will disappear. I have called western union and given them permission to release the information on the person who picked up the payments by the name of Alejandra Sandes. The phone number to Belvedere Financial is 1-877-927-9099. The initial person from Belvedere I had dealt with was Neil C. Quinn at extension 424. He had sent me an email from [email protected]. I had also sent him in a fax to the number 1-646-217-3734. The second person i had dealt with was Keith Harrington, the "manager" at extension 157. I have also contacted my local police department and filed a report. Any help that can be given would be greatly appreciated.
