I bought a Halthmaster from the Montel Williams informercial because I trusted Montel and considered him an ethical man. I was wrong. The Healthmaster is so difficult to work with. The lid is very difficult to lock, in fact I ended up putting oil on the base and the lid to try to get it into position to lock (I am 73 years old and didn't think I would need the strength of a 21 year old man to use this product). When I finally got everything working I turned it on and was amazed at how very loud it was. I live in a senior apartment complex and expected someone to knock on my door to see if I was operating heavy machinery. When I drank my "smoothie" it was anything but smooth. Even running the blender forever didn't result in a smooth texture. Well I used it approximately three more times. The fourth time it tied up altogether. The pitcher was frozen tight to the base, and nothing I did loosened it. I asked a gentleman who lives down the hall to try to release it, and he couldn't. So, the blender would not run at all, but the pitcher wouldn't come off the base so I had to tip the whole thing, base and all, over to pour the mixture I had "blended" (not) into a glass. The Healthmaster is now in my closet and on its way to the dumpster. I am on a fixed income and cannot afford to be scammed like this. I am disappointed twice... in the product and in Montel.
