I attended a mastergaurd smoke detector presentation where they told the group of us that the off the shelve smoke detectors simply do not work and was even shown a video displaying ten of the most common detectors and how when a sofa was smoldering and smoking only one went off after 55 minutes and only briefly basically scaring you into believing that if you wanted to keep your family safe you better buy theirs they said theirs work different from any other, they work off a photo eye just like automatic doors and is far superior and they have the only one like it, i'm not sure if that is true but i do not want to pay so much for three detectors and two heat sensors if they are no different and will not allow my family any extra or added benefit, what can i do?
