I was in hospital and came out to find out CPP had put a $14.99 charge on my checking accout. THis is some sort of ID Protection and they said when I activated my Debit Card by phone (which was from Soverign Bank) I said yes to a one month free Id Protection which I never did. I did not have much money in my account as I was in hospital. Therefore my debit card was overdrawn and then in turn Soverign charged me $5.00 a day for an overdraft. SOverign knew about this company and they are working together to take advantage of people. CPP got 14.99 & SOverign got $78.15. I have complained to both companies and am awaiting word. I feel CPP & Soverign are liable for these charges to me. Nothing was ever signed by me nor did I accept this ID Protector.
