I went to HH Gregg to purchase a gas dryer, when I went in with my husband they promised to give me a great deal with free financing for a year. We went ahead an purchased the dryer and they were supposed to have it delivered within 2 days. I gave them my work number since they have the 40 min call ahead services so that I can be home before they get there. It turned out that instead they called my home phone so I missed them, I called home and got the message because it was now 2 hours past the time frame they gave me, the delivery guy said because I was not home they cannot come back today I will have to call the store and make other arrangements. When I called the store they told me that they will ahve the delivery truck come back after I convinced them they were wrong for not calling my work phone. They came back and delivered the dryer and told me they could not hook it up because I needed a shut off valve, so I would have to contact someone who can hook that up for me and my husband can then hook up the dryer it is easy they said. I called the store and went over everything with a manager after arguing for another hour he decided to have one of their contractors come out to hook up the shut off valve. They came out within 2 days to hook it up and they said I did not need a shutoff valve I already have one and they do not know why HHGregg did not hook up the dryer, but it was just the hose left to hook up. They then said they had to come back the next day with the proper equipment since they did not come to hook up the hose they needed the tape to extend the hose, they never showed up the next day. I had to call for 2 days and finally they answered on the 3rd attempt and said they will be by in the evening, they never showed. It was not until the following week they showed at the end of the week and hooked it up. The dryer worked for 1 week and then stopped working, we called them back at the store again the promised us 2 refund already for the inconvinience and we did not receive none. After speaking with the manager mike at the HH Gregg in Christiana DE he said he will have the new dryer delivered on July 4th only after my husband got on the phone and reminded him of all that we have been through, because he said we were not allowed to return it. They never showed on the 4th so we called back again the finally credited us the delivery cost and then the 2nd dryer came 3 days later smashed in at the front, the delivery guy said we can keep it if we want an additional $100 off, my husband said no way so we kept that one for 2 days and finally after going back and forth with head office we got our reall dryer 1 week later with only 2 out of 3 credit to our account. I advise anyone going to HHGregg DO NOT GO!!!
