I received a letter indicating sweepstakes winnings that must be claimed within 2 weeks. Two weeks after calling to claim the winnings I received a check for $4,995.00 U.S. Of which $1,995.00 were to be returned for government taxes and insurance on the six-figure winnings. I was told this $4,995.00 check would clear in 24 hours. 48 hours later the money was in my savings account. Supposedly after Threeshore received the $1,995.00 sent via Western Union, a six - figure check would be sent to me via Federal Express. This check never arrived and the bank later informed me the original check did not clear. I called Threeshore and was told they had put a stop payment on the original check because I did not send the remainder of the $4,995.00 check even though they only asked for $1,995.00. I did what I was asked to do but have not received my sweepstakes winnings. My bank account is now negative $4,9995.00. Whats up with this?
