Gateway Repair UPS Insurance

I took a laptop to the local UPS store to be shipped and did not seal the package to get assurance I had packed it adequately. UPS Store confirmed it was in PERFECT condition and packaged more than adequately. I purchased insurance. The day Gateway received it they claimsed there was damage. UPS picked up the computer, inspected it, an dreturned it to Gateway stating it was NOT a result of shipping and denied the claim. Now Gateway wants an additional 199.00 to fix the damage. We have contacted both the store and Gateway. The store states the claim is up to UPS (understandably). Gateway refuses to acknowledge the damage to the box is minimal and not enough to substantiate damage to laptop and will not accept responsibility. From pictures it is obvious damage must have been caused at Gateway facility since we have witnesses to condition upon shipment date. This computer was in perfect condition when mailed with exception of missing the "X" key, and internal hard drive issues (which is why it was sent to Gateway). It's external/screen, etc. Were in PERFECT condition - not even a slight scratch or fingerprint.
