My brother bought me a refrigerator because mine 'died' Was purchased OCT 30th & delivered Nov 6th. Three rebates were offered (two were received) enabling me to reimburse my brother. The remaining one was for $100 if I turned in my old refrigerator It was removed & signed off at delivery. I submitted everything required. February I called to see what the delay was. Delay was due to my address (for delivery) and his name (as purchaser) not being the same. This got clarified & I was assured that a check would arrive in 2-4 weeks. The wait continued. Summing it up, 8 phone calls and several months later... into July it was 'discovered' that a paper had not been filed and I was thereby 'ineligible'.??? I managed to track down and obtain that 'mystery' paper from the appliance store (they apologized for not giving it to me) I once again called the rebate company & explained what had happened and that I could provide proof of removal. At this point the (previously sympathetic) young man I'd spoken to the week before said rather indignantly, "you DO realize that this is beyond the submission time frame ma'am. Look at what the date is today.". Now I feel that my brother is out $100 for his kindness. After many calls and many months you would think SOMEONE should have seen the problem sooner and it could have been resolved in a timely manner. I am beyond upset at them for the patronization and failure to 'work with the customer'. I only just discovered this site and felt a need to vent. Buyers' Beware is so very true. Everything done in good faith, yet they kept the money!
