Mr. Capone was hired to put a new roof on our garage and breezeway. He worked about 3 hours and then said that he had to bail his daughter out of jail. He never came back to finish the job but he did come back the next day and ask for the balance of what we owed him because he needed to hire a lawyer for his daughter. He came back the next day asking for a loan of money. We refused him. After looking at the work that he did, we realize how lucky we were that he didn't finish the job. We have pictures of the work that he did. We put a complaint in to the queensbury town court. We and mr. Capone were given a date to appear in court. Mr. Capone did not come. The judge said that we won the case. We went back to the court and filed papers that he was in contempt of court. We had to mail a list of questions to mr. Capone. Actually we had to have someone mail them for us. He was given 7 days to answer the questions. He never sent it back. We then filed for again that he was in contempt of court. He finally came to one of the court appearances at which time the judge asked him to answer the questions that he was suppose to have answered months before. He had to turn around and ask his girlfriend who was sitting in back of the court the answer to some of the question being asked. He didn't know how much he made a week and had to ask his girlfriend. She said that he made $440 per week. It is rather strange that someone who makes so little would not know how much he made.
After mr. Capone answered the questions the judge asked him, he got up waved to us and walked out of court. The judge never said a word to us. I recently read in the saratogian that he scammed a lady in saratoga. He is still free to scam people.
