On July 27th, I dropped an almost new EU200i Honda Generator off at Southern Powerworks in Freeport, Florida. I first went to the front counter and was told to take the generator around back.in hindsight, I should have asked for a work ticket, but I did not. I went around back to a large open dorr and sat my Honda Generator on the ground. The service technician grabbed a ticket from a box and attached to it. He then immediately proceeded to take the generator to the back of his shop. I immediately asked if I needed a pick-up ticket, to which he replied, "Not really, it'll be ready in a couple weeks, I have professionals in front of you." Thinking this was normal procedure, I said, "OK!", and got in my car and left.
On Tuesday, August 9th, I went to Southern Powersports to pick up my Honda Generator. The same tech conveniently did not remember me dropping the generator off, and walked around the floor in circles claiming that I never dropped a generator off. My heart sank as I realized this goon-thief knew more than he was telling. The owners did not offer to replace or purchase another generator. Don't trust this company with the repair of ANY item, it may come up missing. I did call the police and then filed a police report. I am also offering a $500 reward for the return of the generator (it is 1 of 2/ matched set).
