I tried to buy a Xoom tablet from Newegg. I signed up for the preferred customer plan so that I could pay my account off in 12 months or less. First I was accepted, then I was declined, then I was accepted... Bottom line, despite the fact that I have an excellent credit rating, Newegg wanted me to buy with a credit card, rather than buy on their credit. So forget about applying for a Newegg Customer Preferred Account. Even though they say you've been approved (for $4000 line of credit in my case), apparently it means absolutely nothing. Newegg may have good prices, but if you want to buy on their credit plan, forget it!!!
