I was a Spiritair.com member in 2009. I cancelled in 2010 after several attempts to get a $9 flight. I never got one so I called them and cancelled. They claimed I cancelled too late and refused to refund my money. I decided to cancel anyway out of frustration and so went on line and cancelled. I thought what a wast but took the loss thinking lesson learned, move on. Fast forward to 2011... Recently I notice on my credit card statement they billed me despite my cancellation in 2010. I called them and they admitted they saw my 2010 call to them however, they claimed I never went on line to cancel my membership and they refused to refund me. I had no way to prove that I went on line to cancel so I reported them to my credit card company. Luckily I had put a block on them charging me so my credit card is taking care of this but I think it is just a scam. I contacted the Better Business agency in Florida and made a complaint however, they felt there was nothing they can do. I can't believe they can get away with this. There should be a class action lawsuit in this regard. They do thiso this all the time as evident in my recent google searches. Shame on them!!! Hope many see this and stay away!!!
