I ordered a "Sweeper" from an info-mercial for $19.95. The sales person spoke only a little English. She was insistant about my purchasing a "money saving opportunity" also. I told her 6 times that I only wanted the Sweeper. Finally she agreed to sent it.
I received the Sweeper... And on my charge card statement there was a second charge posted the same day..."MWI Connections — $139.95".
I called the number on the statement and requested a refund. The representative's limited English made communications difficult to say the least. I was offered a discount on the $139.95 and more "plenty good deals". I asked for a refund repeatedly.
At each request for a refund he had "1 more offer". He had that "one more offer" I think... 7 times. Finally he said I would receive a credit in 2-3 business days and hung up.
I called the credit card company and reported the unauthorized charge after I finished my call for a refund. They took all the info and said to watch my on-line statement for the credit. If it didn't appear in a few days, call back and report the charge. They would get the charge removed.
Dealing with this bunch takes a firm commitment to achieving your refund goal. I suggest getting angry before you call... It'll save you time! Maybe you can get a refund without having to listen to ALL 7 of the "money saving offers."
Good luck.
