I was called to have a subscription to Readers Digest. I didn't want it (I already had one, but unfortunately I am too polite and they ordered it. When I was sent a confirmation 8/28, I called them and thought I canceled it, but their confusing fast talking apparently did the opposite. When it appeared on my Master credit card, I called the card company explained what happened and they put it on investigation, canceling the charge, $109.99.
Today, July 18, I received a letter from Master Card saying they have reversed the credit.
I called U.S. Readers and again tried to canceled it but the girl refused to do anything about it because I had called Master Charge. She was extremely rude, wouldn't listen, talking over me while I was talking.
I don, t know if this is a scam or not. I just know am out $109.99 for 2 magazines I don't want.
