Charged Credit Card After Cancellation

I was told that my final billing would be prorated after I cancelled my service on the June 13. I would be billed only $20. I was billed the $20 plus another $100 they said Verizon wouldn't pay the bill. I called, tried to tell them that I cancelled and shouldn't have been billed the $100. They told me that I didn't cancel until the end of June. They said they had the right to debit my card because they hadn't received payment for 2 weeks. They did this 3 weeks after I cancelled the service.

I will never be a subscriber. I will tell everyone who is or might think about being a subscriber.
