I reported a different scam yesterday (July 13) about MYPPHELP.com for $101 total and started looking at my historic credit card statements.
Sure enough I found one for HD Concepts for $70.16 on June 14. I called VISA to reprort it and they gave me a number for the company: 1-877-311-4798. I called the company and waited on hold for over 20 minutes. When someone finally answered they asked for my name and phone number. I declined to give them my phone number until I understood where I had called and what company it was – because they didn’t answer the call as HD Concepts. I explained that I was simply calling the number on my credit card statement for a company I didn’t recognize and since I didn’t want to divulge any personal information due to fraud concerns, the person promptly hung up. I’ve logged now a second dispute claim with VISA.
