I recieved a message via SMS telling me this guy (named Fersan Bill) has exotic birds available that I am trying to locate. I only need to pay for shipping ($200) and he will send me a mated pair and chicks - from Alaska. I requested he call me because SMS is too unwieldy. Phone connection was terrible. He said it was because of bad weather in Alaska. (but area code is from Ca. Not Ak). He told a very credible story full of details for care of the birds that lent credibility. The reason given for giving the birds away is that he is moving away to New York tomorrow night and can't take the birds with him.
Lots of pressure to move quickly on this. Cost of shipping is now stated as $450 versus $200 initially. So I googled the phone number and got a hit with a story about puppies similar to my story about birds.
I'm still dealing with this guy to see where it leads. If anyone has a way to corner him, I am still in contact with him.
