My daughter purchased a $250 prom dress from Formals by Diamond's at Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, NC ($269.38 including tax). Last night was her prom. She had the dress on for about one hour and it literally fell apart. The dress had a ring in the back that just snapped apart. I took the dress back to the store today, along with the receipt. The only adult clerk on duty at the store said my daughter must have "put pressure on the dress" and refused to give us a refund for this defective merchandise. If you need to buy a prom dress, you may want to consider another store that will stand behind the quality of its products.
