I was looking for a job on craigslist and had emailed a few people in search. A few days later I received an email back from someone. They were looking for a personal assistant while they were out of the country in business. I woke up to a package at my door with cashier checks in it and was asked to western union it to an Art Gallery in a different state. The person told me to keep a portion of the money as my salary, and when he emailed me later that day asking me to send it to another country, I was skeptical and looked into it further. That is when I realized I had been scammed.
