Consumer Report

I moved to Texas from Florida in further persuit of my dance career. I was searching on Craigslist for a Personal Assistant position, (I was formerly an assistant in Florida). I replied to numerous ads and a week or so later recieved a response from an individual who went by the name "Frank". He asked information pertaining to being an assistant. (I have all emails saved). After filling out an "application" he said I got the job and the first task was only minor and dealt with electronics over seas. I should have seen the red flag from that comment, but my former employer actually did do work over seas so I did not think too much into it. He sent me two money orders, each for the amount of $965.35, saying to cash them, take out $300.00 to "pay me for my work", and then he will give me a list of things to do after I send the money to his client in the Phillippines via Western Union. After doing so he said to not worry about the tasks for the rest of the day due to time constraints. I no longer heard from him after that day. A week or so later I ended up moving back to Florida and did not know the money orders were fraud until Regions bank mailed a copy to my family, where I resided in Texas, and said I was at fault and had to repay the bank. I tried to file a police report in Florida but am unable to because the incicdent occured in Texas. I would have to fly back to file anything pertaining to the faux money orders and do not have those kind of funds, let alone any funds momentarily due to this situation.
