Received a bad check In February for the amount of $5,600 from Electra Tech Industries, Inc. For the purchase of over $40,000 in electrical materials. (referred to us by a friend). We made NUMEROUS calls and even went to job site and seen materials in an attempt to collect for bad check to no avail. Met requirements to send certified letter and give him (02) weeks to respond, then sent all information to State's Attorney to prosecute. Four months later, there is nothing that the State's Attorney can do because this is a civil Matter. This man never broke a sweat or was worried in any way as to what he had done or what should be done to him.
After meeting other people that knew this man, he had quite a reputation for this. Most of the other victims probably didn't want to go through the hassle that it takes to MAKE this man do what is right. With men like this, it is difficult to believe and have faith in people especially now that times are getting even harder for the honest man.
